Driven to Grace

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.  For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  John 1:16-17

The Christian walk is one of joy.  Joy in knowing that a great sacrifice has been made for you.  Joy in knowing that all of your failures and deceits have been wiped out.  Joy in being adopted into God's family.  So many times we lose our joy. We focus on our lack or on our failures.  Worse, we may become cold and legalistic, replacing the wisdom of God for hard and fast rules.  There may be the appearance of maturity, but the lack of love denies that and destroys our joy.

I have started this blog as a way to proclaim the riches of God's grace in my life and in the lives of people I meet.  Our lives are full of the evidences of God's grace through Christ.  The simple recognition of a new day. The laughter of a child. A smile and a warm embrace.  Saving grace that renews our spirits, hearts and minds.  A grace that places us in a new family; a royal family.  A grace that takes us from paupers to children of the king.

I pray that my life will be a reflection of Christ's joy and grace each day.
